God loves His people. But God hates sins of His people because He knows the end of sinner will not be palatable.  Thus, He will send His message to man in their generations to make them conform to His standard so that they can be beneficiaries of His heavenly bliss. He speaks to us according to our condition at various times. The Scripture says For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth Him should not perish but hath everlasting life (John 3:16). So He wants those who have not repented of their sins to repent, and those who have not been regenerated to be regenerated. This will enable all of us to make the kingdom of God.

Because there is eternal doom and there is everlasting life, we must be warned. Though some because of the pleasure of this world have been given to reprobate mind and as such would say there is no life after life. Others would even argue that there is no hell. In their unbelief everything begins and ends here.

But wait a minute, you should know that there is an “eternal bliss of the penitent and eternal doom of the finally impenitent. The Bliss of heaven for the penitent and The Doom of hell for the impenitent.

The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. He wants us to get back what has been lost to sin, so He gave us Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, and with His resurrection to draw us unto God and have redemption. This is His way of preparing us. And He expects nothing from us than to repent of our sin and sinful ways, so that we may be beneficiary of His heavenly bliss.

Heaven is a place of glory, joy, peace and eternal bliss. If you want to go to heaven, you have to repent of your sins. God created the earth in six days, but Jesus has gone to prepare heaven for us since over two thousand years ago. He said He was going to prepare a place for us so that where he is we may also be. How marvelous, how beautiful, how wonderful the place would be to have taken so long to make ready. The Bible says, heaven contains things that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard. They are for those who repent.

A.The eternal bliss of the penitent has four parts:

  1. Peace of being with God and access by faith through His grace. When man sinned in the Garden of Eden, enmity arose between man and God. God drove man out of the garden, but by the coming of Jesus to the world, reconciliation was made between man and God. This brought peace with God. Candidates of heaven have peace with God, so they would have peace of God. The Bible says there is no peace for the wicked. Do you have the peace of God? When you have peace of God, you would have peace with all men.

Peace with God will enable us to have access to God. We will be close to God. “Nearer my God to Thee, nearer to Thee.” Because the enmity between man and God has been removed. The middle wall of partition has been broken (Romans 5:1 -3).

  1. Assurance that we are children of God and heirs with Christ. God is not the Father of the whole world but of only those who believe in Him, those who have repented of their sins (Romans 8: 16 ,17).

The assurance is certainty in your heart by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. This assurance makes you an adopted son of God. They are regenerated.

The unregenerated ones are merely creatures of God, not His children. When a child is born in a family, the family traits will reflect and manifest in that child.

One day a cousin of mine wanted to visit me. He did not know my house but knew the school of my child. He went to stand at the school gate and as the children came out, he saw and recognized my child because of my traits the child bore. He asked the child to take him to my house.

As a child you have rights, privileges and access. As parents, our children can come freely to sleep on our beds. Our relationship with God as children starts in this world and continues to eternity. For you to be children of God, you must be related to Him and only sin can destroy that relationship.

iii.  Increase of grace to do good works to all men and especially the church of God. The works include spiritual works in the church, worship of God and service to other brothers and sisters of the household of God (II Corinthians 9:8).  Jesus said, my food is to do the works of Him that sent me and finish them.  Faith helps us to do good works. Hope helps us to do good works. Rewards also help us to do good works. We have been created to show forth the praise of God (Isa 43: 21)

  1. Regeneration creates a hope of resurrection. Resurrection is the seed of life, the life of God. Every living seed has life. Without regeneration, there is no life. It is regeneration that gives a believer the hope of resurrection (I Peter 1:34).  Without regeneration, there is no hope of eternal life. Are you hoping for resurrection?

Without regeneration, man is subject to the power of gravity. Jesus said when I ascend, I will draw all men unto myself.

The first resurrection is for the regenerated while the second is unto judgement. The latter is for the unregenerated unto eternal doom.

  1. The Eternal Doom of the finally Impenitent

God is God of love. By His love, He has offered salvation to all. So, everyone is given a choice. He who refuses life cannot at the same time reject death. The attributes God make Him to be God of justice. If God has given the unrepentant chance to repent and they fail to do so, what they are asking for is God’s judgement which is His wrath (Isaiah 1:19-20, I Timothy 2:3-4).

Hell is real. It is a place of sorrow pain, weeping and gnashing of teeth. Scientists were trying to prove that there is no hell. They started to dig the ground. They dug up to 27 miles downwards and the place became so hot and they were hearing voices of people like they were in torment. They then realized that hell is real. In Mark 9:43-48. hell was described as a place where the fire does not quench. Which one do you choose: life in eternity or hell in eternity? (Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20: 13 15).

In hell fire where the unregenerated ones are going, the worms do not die, the fire does not die, and the people there also do not die. They will be in torment forever and ever. May you not be there! (Amen).

God has brought us to His mount so that none of us may go to hell. Many people shall come and say, “come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the house of the God of Jacob; he will teach us his ways and we shall walk in his paths”(Isa 2:3). To be born again is to escape hell. Hell has no regards for denominations or for office or whether you are born in the church or not. One can go to hell in the church from church to hell! One can go from convention to hell. One can preach about hell and still go to hell. The only way to escape the horror of hell is to be regenerated, i.e. to be born again.

The crux of the matter is that you must repent and be born again. Otherwise, irrespective of your position, office or membership of a church, hell is sure. The wrath of God is poured upon the fire of hell (Luke 13:3,5; Revelation 14:9 13).

God has blessed us with the revelation of the word of life. This is the greatest blessing that God can give you, to get you born again. If you leave his mount without being born again, your coming has been in vain. The power to be born again is available. If you will weep to ask for anything, weep to be born again. Don’t just go to the church for social ends or because of miracle alone, go to church to strengthen your relationship with God.  Because a final day of separation is coming when regenerated souls will be separated from sinners.

Examine yourself before you pray. If you are born again, eternal life is sure for you. If not, ensure you confess your sins and repent of them and be born again. Hell is real, avoid it. Today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late.

The signs are here, Jesus will soon come to take His saints unto the Kingdom; and only the born again, those who have given their lives unto Him shall go with Him; for as many as received him, to them he has given power to become the sons and daughters of God. (John 1:12). Only a child can inherit the estate of his father. We have a Father who is in heaven. He has everlasting inheritance for us. It is the eternal peace, joy, and bliss.

If you have not given your life to Jesus, this is an opportunity for you. Confess your sins and ask him to forgive you; accept him as your savior and Lord, and believe that you are save. You are welcome.
