Redemption Story

Text: Colossians 1:13-14

*  Redemption means purchase back by another person because someone sold into captivity

cannot buy himself back.
*  Sell-off is something sold cheaply because the service of such thing is no longer needed.

(Man was not only sold, but man was sold-off) – Esther 7:4

REASONS WHY MAN CAN BE SOLD-OFF:
1.  If a man has been rendered useless
2.  If a man has been captured and enslaved
3.  If a man remains in his sin

HOW MAN WAS SOLD-OFF:
* Satan was cast into the world.
Disobedience to the instructions of God. When Satan enters into man, it manifests in the form of: Isaiah 52:3
i. Negative thoughts
ii. Bitterness
iii. Anger

Anyone born into the world and not yet born into Christ is lost to Satan – Psalm 49:7

HOW MAN WAS PURCHASED BACK:
* Jesus Christ was sent to the world. He was born into the world with redemption power which was not shown      until His death.

Immediately the ransom was paid for man by the shedding of blood on the Cross of Calvary:
*  The authority of Satan over man was taken back
*  Man was reconciled to God

#Confession Lord Jesus, save me, redeem me. Jesus I come unto you today, redeem me and my household today
